On behalf of Special Olympics International, Global Health Advocacy Incubator engaged the Glassroth Creative Strategies team to help research, draft, and design a comprehensive global report on the challenges faced by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in achieving their best possible health. The report, which was just launched in September, is aimed at increasing awareness and catalyzing action for IDD-inclusive health systems reforms. Specifically, the report was produced in order to:

• Highlight issues, disparities, barriers and solutions
• Provide a call to action and collaboration
• Highlight Special Olympics’ role in health programming and supporting athletes

Over the course of a year, GCS:

• Conducted a desk review of available research
• Used interviews and other materials to draft case studies
• Drafted the report
• Created infographics
• Designed the report and an easy-to-read executive summary
